TRAVEL CRAZEE - LOUSIANA

At the southern end of Highway 1, the seven magical miles of Grand Isle hold all the wonders that Louisiana nature can offer. The marshes teem with aquatic life and water birds. On Grand Isle, time slows and the visitor can savor the unique Louisiana experience. The Gulf of Mexico washes the sands of Grand Isle State Park under blue skies dotted with cotton puff clouds. From fishing to camping and boating to kayaking, the activities are endless and allow you to connect with nature.
The rolling piney hills of Kisatchie National Forest includes more than 600,000 acres of outdoor adventures. The forest is located just southwest of Alexandria and offers visitors some of the prettiest views of Louisiana. It is also the only National forest designated in the state of Louisiana. Packed with outdoor activities — hiking, camping, fishing, horseback riding, nature viewing, swimming, etc. The forest offers more than 40 developed recreation sites and more than 100 miles of trails.
