A little pitstop in our home state as the Crazee Travels continue!
Just so everyone is aware, there are more places in Illinois than just Chicago. Granted we do love us some Chicago style pizza and a weekend in the windy city, it’s time to trade the skyscrapers for waterfalls & rock formations. Located in Southern Illinois is Shawnee National Park, famed for its own Garden of the Gods (not to be mistaken for Colorado’s), and is home to Rim Rock Recreational Trail (the forest itself has 403 miles of equestrian/hiking trails). With walls of rock covered in emerald-green moss and paths that meander through canyons under a forest canopy. You will hardly think you are in Illinois!
